Everything began in 2004 in their own garage: after being in the the sales affair for 30 years, the brothers Mirco and Rosanna Merlo created “Bretelle&Braces”.
This brand code is the tradition of the real and best made in Italy.
This is how they gave back life to a male accessory that would soon become a clothing cult: the suspender.
Their business started in Veneto and grew all over Italy.
The breakthrough came with their first participation to Pitti, the international known male clothing exhibition.
The brand soon got recognized also gaining foreign buyers, in particular eastern regions which admire the “made in Italy” brands.
Bretelle&Braces puts focus on detail, which is to use the best metal parts, leathers and fabrics to create an exclusive item.
During the suspenders production, they add handwoven belts made in elastic and leather.
In 2014, Annamaria and Massimiliano, Mirco’s daughter and son, were introduced into the business: they brought in their knowledge and amplified the fashionbrand with bowties and pocketsquares to match with the suspenders.
With their help, the brand got invited to international exhibitions like “Mrket” in New York and “Premuim” in Berlin.
After giving a last look to the male fashion accessory world, they came up with gloves. This item symbolizes elegance and also made for those individuals that look for quality, as always.
In 2018, they decide to take a new challenge by showing up at the Pitti Bimbo exhibition with fancy suspenders and belts while adding a selection for the young ones. Like all Bretelle&Braces products, all accessories are made with care in every detail.
